> Clays are been easily confused with waxes, mostly because in general, they seem to be doing the almost same thing as the waxes do to your hair.

> The sole purpose of clay is to provide a matt finish and long-lasting high hold to your hair. 

> In terms of strength, what I have noticed is that most clays tend to be on the stronger side and tend to be stronger holding than the waxes.

> So if you are looking for something that keeps your hair at high hold and is less shiny than the wax, you should probably go for the clays. 

> In terms of texture, clays are harder and thinker than that of wax, and sometimes it needs a little bit more strength to take the product out of the jar. As the name suggests, the texture is similar to that of crafting clays. 

> Clays mostly work very well with the guys with thicker hair and I suggest that the guys with thicker hair should use clays rather than wax. 

> Still they do not harden up in your hair which means you can move your fingers and restyle your hair whenever you want to.

> Pomades are basically made up to provide an extra shine finish to your hair. On the other hand, they are gonna give a good amount of hold that stays in your hair for at least 10 hours. 

> Moreover they are generally oil-based and do not wash out easily from your hair which means you have to shampoo your hair to wash them out. 

> Pomades provide a good hold to your hair and they are best for classic hairstyles such as the classic side-part or the pompadour. 

> You can move your hand through your hair but, you will need a comb or a brush to restyle your hair, your hands alone cannot make it look good. 

> Pomades are suitable for all types of hair and they make your hair a little bit heavy.
