I'm sure you have heard someone telling you,"Don't do this, it will do this to your hair." Some of them are actually true but some are really crap, like the most stupid thing you have ever told. Today, we are gonna talk about 10 hair myths that we used to hear in our daily life. Welcome to the MR. VOLUMISED.






1. MORE YOU CUT, FASTER IT GROWS

It is myth that many people used to believe. It is purely wrong. Cutting your hair only removes damage ends and it does not affects your hair growth as hair grows from their bottom (hair follicles in your scalp)

Hair growth is genetic and it is scientifically proven.


2. HAIR PRODUCTS MAKE YOU GO BALD FASTER

It is both True And False. If you use a good quality hair product, it Wouldn't affect your hair-fall. Baldness is Genetic and Also it depends on your testosterone level.

But using bad quality hair product can damage your hair upto a great extent and sometimes it promotes hair-fall. So always use a good quality hair product


3. SHAVING YOUR HEAD INCREASES HAIR DENSITY

It is absolutely wrong. Shaving your head can never increase your hair density. It is also totally genetic.



4. PICKING UP GREY HAIR BRINGS OUT 2-4 MORE GREY HAIR

Guys it is the most stupid hair myth I have ever told. See, If you pull out one grey hair from its follicle, how can it grow more than one hair??? According to science one follicle only gives a single hair. It is totally crap.


5. STRESS MAKES YOUR HAIR GREY 

No, It is totally false. Turning of hair grey is Genetically controlled (in most cases). 

By the way, according to the researchers the smokers' hair tends to turn grey 4x more than a normal person. So it is a superb reason to quit smoking other that LUNG CANCER.


6. HAIR GETS USED TO SHAMPOO

Some people says,"I have been using this shampoo for years and it can never damage my hair as my hair is used to it." This is false, hair never get used to shampoo. A brand that you are currently using might starts damaging your hair in future and you'll need to switch it.


7. A DRY SCALP CAUSES DANDRUFF

It is completely crap. According to researchers, People with moist and healthy scalp can also get dandruff (almost same probability).


8. AIR DRYING IS MORE BETTER THAN BLOW DRYING

It is true for shorter hair but for longer hair, air drying cannot be a good option as it leaves some amount of water in your scalp and hair. Blow drying easily removes moisture from your hair but make sure you use it on minimal heat settings.


9. MORE BRUSHING INCREASES YOUR HAIR LENGTH.

Some people think that brushing 100 times a day increases the hair growth. Again I'll say the same thing, hair growth is controlled genetically.


10. SHAMPOOING DAILY MAKES YOUR HAIR CLEAN.

It is a total myth as Shampooing Daily can make your hair dry and, dry hair becomes dirty more easily and in some cases, they become weak. I suggest to shampoo your hair 2 to 3 times a week.
